Mmmmmm~~Banana Bread~Hot Out of the Oven
Banana bread is best when it is hot and just out of the oven. Some honey or butter on the slice makes it a tasty treat in the middle of a cold afternoon. Those black skinned bananas that were sitting on the counter were put to good use today. I had some real butter and used brown sugar and 1 cup of chopped walnuts so it tastes even better.
BANANA BREAD
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas (mashed)
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in
2 Tablespoons of buttermilk
1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Cream the butter and sugar.
Add the other ingredients and
Mix well
Pour into greased loaf pan
Bake in oven at 325 degrees F. for 50 minutes
or until firm on the top.
