Green Grows the Moss

Moss is being encouraged to grow under the iron bench that sits in the shade behind a small shed.

This is under the Japanese Red Maple tree.

The stepping stones in front of one of our small sheds are accepting the moss and ground cover transplants quite well.

The mosses planted under the Japanese Red Maple tree are filling in. The different textures, colors and height form a mosaic of color. Some of the very low growing moss did not show up in last picture which was taken of the area under the tree.

I will be planting even more of the soft green moss in the next few weeks. There is an ample supply from which to choose. The damp weather of last year has caused many areas of the yard to be covered with moss. I like how it looks.
