A Troubling Sight ~ Drought Effects Now Being Seen in Trees
You have probably noticed that the Christmas trees that are cut for home use stay green long after they are cut before turning brown. This is also true of the stressed pine trees that are planted in our yard.
Our best efforts to keep the trees in our yard watered during the drought were not enough to keep them completely hydrated. It is only in the last week that we have seen many dying branches in our trees. This is true of the the trees that have been here many years as well as the three trees that were newly planted in the Spring. There is nothing that can be done to fix this.
