Friends Away From Home

When we travel away from home as we decided to do this weekend we often make friends. Flea markets are fun places to look around for old stuff  but after a couple of hours of walking it is necessary to slow down a bit and talk to the vendors. We have made some wonderful friends while out on the road. We always look forward to seeing them. It was a good time to check with our "friends" to see how they fared through the cold night.

This morning as we exited our 1971 Dodge high top camper van it was 40 degrees or maybe lower.

Our van has a propane heater. We are afraid to use it because of the proximity to the bedding.  It actually touches the covers on the "bed" which is made by dropping the two back seats down. Perhaps we will find an old van with more amenities someday but the one we have has no rust and it is easily fixed.

Lots of clothing, blankets and comforters kept us very warm as long as we stayed under the covers. We have endured staying in the camper when the temperature went to 28 degrees so last night did not seem so bad.

I am more than glad to be sleeping in a WARM bed tonight!
